1. By pass valve is a protective measure for the main valve to prevent the opening resistance from being too large due to the excessive pressure difference between the front and back of the valve, and the valve is not easy to open, especially in some large port’s diameter or high-pressure piping. Before the high-pressure pipeline is opened, the pressure is relieved through the bypass valve to avoid the sudden influx of high pressure and impact on the pipeline under the valve. Or the pressure difference across the valve is too large and makes the torque is too large. To avoid damage to the valve by torque, open the valve bypass to relief the pressure firstly, then open the main valve.
2. Used as a backup pipeline, the biggest advantage is that when the main valve fails or needs maintenance, it can be opened by bypass valve circulation, and does not affect normal production
