    Butterfly valve utilizes the phenolic-backed cartridge seat or Booted seat or vulcanized seat

    to tight bubble seal with zero leakage. Butterfly valves works as shut-off valves for control the pipeline open/close. Butterfly valves can also be used for rough throttling with different open position.

    Features

    Available in sizes 2" to 48". DN50-DN1200

    • Available in Wafer or Lug style body (2" to 48").

    • Full flange style body available for 36" to 48" valves.

    • Wafer body features four alignment holes.

    • Pressure ratings for tight shut-off at temperatures up to

    the maximum limit of the seat material:

    • 2" to 12" – 200 psi/ Class 150/PN20/PN25 125 psi for PTFE seat., 14" to 48" –150 psi.

    • Ideal for on-off or throttling services.

    • Available with handles (2" to 12"),

    manual gear operators (2" to 48"),

    electric or pneumatic actuators (2" to 48").

    • Operator can be mounted parallel or perpendicular to pipeline.

    • Designed to comply with MSS SP-67 and API 609.

    • Compatible with ASME 125/150 flanges.

    • Valves 2" to 20" meet the intent and have passed the

    AWWA C-504-87 Section 5 proof of design tests.

    • Dead-end capability to 200 psi (2" to 12") and 150 psi (14" to

    24") is an available modification for the disc.

    Lug Butterfly valves’ advantages

    *Design: The body has protruding, threaded inserts (the "lugs") that are integral to the valve body. These lugs are positioned in line with the bolt holes of the flange.

    *Installation: The valve is placed between two flanges. Instead of one long bolt, two sets of shorter bolts are used. Each bolt is inserted into one flange and screwed directly into the threaded lug on the valve.

    *Key Functionality: Because each flange is independently bolted to the valve, the lug style can act as a **dead-end service valve**. This means you can disconnect one side of the piping system (e.g., a pump or a filter) without the valve falling out or losing seal on the other side. The lugs are strong enough to hold the weight and pressure from one side.

    How to choose a Lug-style Butterfly valves or Wafer Butterfly valves .

    Choose a Wafer Valve if:

    •Cost is a primary concern.

    •The valve is in a permanent position in the line.

    •You will never need to disconnect one side of the pipe while the other side remains pressurized.

    •The system has low vibration and the pipeline is well-supported.

    Choose a Lug Valve if:

    •You need to isolate and remove a piece of equipment (like a pump, gauge, or sensor) downstream.

    •The valve is at the end of a line (blow-down or drain valve).

    •The piping system experiences high vibration, as the dual-bolt connection can provide more stability.

    •The application involves higher pressures where the security of a lug-mounted valve is beneficial.
